Recycling with Christine from WasteWise

Today Christine from WasteWise brought us a huge bag of rubbish! She brought it for us to recycle.  How many different ways can rubbish be recycled?  Well probably more than you think... but it depends on the type of rubbish.  Christine talked to us about the different kinds of rubbish and then we had a go at recycling!  How many ways can you spot in our photos?

Whew! What a busy week!

Whew!  What a busy week... and it's only Tuesday!  Yesterday the Stardome, tomorrow the Marae, and today we had a visit from Christine at WasteWise.  Read our next post to find out more...

At the Stardome.

Yesterday we went to the Stardome.  Here are a few photos from our visit, and some recounts students have written about their visit.

When we went into the stardome we saw a movie. It was a long movie about a star that was born and he was looking for planets.

I love the stardome because there are a lot of things in the space room.  We sat on the chairs and watched a space movie.  Then we went to this other space room and we learned about the sun and the moon.

I went to the stardome observatory yesterday and I liked the movie.  I saw planets.  My favourite planet is Venus.

Yesterday at the stardome we watched a story about a little star.  We saw rocket ships and space suits.  It was a good day.

I am a humming fish

I am the humming fish and I live in the pond.  I like humming round the pond.  I sing during the day and I sleep under the water during the night.  

The brown water made me sick and the fish were cold.  I need to go with my friends to another pond.
