Kaitiaki of the birds

We have identified an environmental problem just outside our classroom.  Everyday the birds come down to feed on our left overs from lunch. They feed on the ground and from the bins that we put our rubbish in.  We are going to be the KAITIAKI of the BIRDS, and here is our proposal...

Our Proposal
We propose that we design and make bird feeders to feed the birds suitable food for the Winter.  Our bird feeder will help to feed the smaller birds and not the larger birds like seagulls.  We will buy the right food for the birds, and sustain this by having a fundraiser.

 We are currently writing a persuasive argument to set out our opinions and reasons why we should be doing this.

      Thanks Baiden for your comment. Ollie's Dad is going to make the bird feeder from our designs. We have to find out how much the bird food is going to cost.

    We are looking forward to seeing your designs. Keith doesn't think it will cost much. Have you got photos of your designs? Keith might be able to cost materials for you if we give him a drawing. Great idea room 10 cant wait to see plans. Ollies Mum

    Great idea Room 10 have you read the story in a Junior Journal about a class that made bird feeders? Let me know if you haven't and I will find it for you to read.

    I love the photos on Rm 5's blog. Keith and Ollie really enjoyed sharing there ideas about your designs. They look fabulous. I am looking forward to seeing model and finished product. Great ideas room 10. You are a fantastic design team!
